Wedding Dress of the Week: Old Hollywood Glamor

On 15 May this year, Baz Luhrmann masterpiece The Great Gatsby opened the Cannes Film Festival. Not only the film, but also the soundtrack of the picture-huge strip has accompanied us in the newsroom over the summer. Today we have a wedding dress of the week for you, which could have sprung straight from the film and that “the golden 20s” literally takes: completely covered with sparkling champagne sequins conveys the bridal gown Bacall from the Luna collection of Gibson Bespoke a feeling of Hollywood and glamor. I particularly like the deep neckline in combination with the black feather stole and the short black-transparent gloves. But also the glittering part of the Lujon makes a lot of fun–more glitter and glamor is (almost) not at all!
The label Gibsen Bispoke is based in Belfast and mainly supplies accessories and Headpieces. They send their statement jewels around the world. Debbie Bailie-Collins is creative director at WillowMoone–Gibson Bespoke designs and has been working in the fashion industry for over 15 years. In addition to wedding dresses from, she also designs with passion the most spectacular accessories–all available at the label’s Etsy shop, yay!
… she felt it a natural progression to move into creative design and her love of all things bridal shone through.~Gibson Bespoke
The collections are unmistakably inspired by Art Deco, the golden 20s and the classical literature. And everyone who is now just like me dreaming of a glamour wedding in this bridal gown, I can only say: Dream On!
