Nail Gel

The hands play an important role in everyday life; They have the power to make us safe or uncomfortable at all times. This is why it becomes increasingly important to care. Among the various existing techniques, the gel appears to be one of the fastest nails reconstruction methods. There are several types, each with its own characteristics and its own specific functions.
Today we talk about the reconstruction in gel nails on the hands and feet. Personally I love this technique and the run for years because, as you probably all know, the well-groomed nails are essential to the beauty of the hands and even the feet. Sometimes the nails can present an aspect not shiny, healthy as it should be, and it is in those cases that this process is useful;not only to have beautiful nails in every occasions so, but also for other types of reasons:

• In the presence of nails “bitten”

It is nail biting, and to overcome the problem, you can use products to use on the nail or opt for reconstruction in gel or acrylic.

• In the case of brittle nails.

The fact that the present grooves or nails from breaking easily often indicates lack of minerals or vitamins, weakening of the physical state of the person, or exposure to corrosive media (such as detergents from Also here you can take action to improve health by making use of nail enamels reinforcing or resorting to the reconstruction in gel or acrylic, allowing the nail to grow and reach the desired length.

Who can do it?

To become Onicotecnico-and then learn the various techniques of reconstruction unghie-you can subscribe to for private courses at leading companies in the sector or attend school pr beauticians. It ‘a very nice job, however, can not and must not be improvised: if you get it wrong the procedures to be followed (by filing the nail too, for example it can have serious consequences), or if you use bad products.
So, although in this article this will be done in a manner specific enough, we invite you to have a good deal of expertise behind before playing with the brush!

Nail extension: what is it?

Reconstruction can be to real nail extension, or in the simple cover of the same gel or acrylic. I will speak only of the gel, because I love it and it gives a very natural look; acrylic instead I found to be much less tolerated and, although it allows to make beautiful decorations, it tends to turn yellow easily becoming so ugly to look at (and then has a terrible smell!).

The possible types of reconstruction

In this case, however, we will discuss only the procedure that makes use of the gel. This material is usually made of a polymer pre-mixed and a monomer gel that is first applied to the nails and then allowed to harden under ultraviolet lights. There are three types of reconstruction usable with the gel:

• Tip:

is the use of plastic pieces of various shapes to create the nail, using a special glue to stick them and cut out the step in order to align them to the natural nail; It is definitely not suitable for those who suffer from severe nail biting. There are natural color tip which are used as neutral base, white tip used for french and transparent tip.

• Map:

It works directly on the maps to create the nail. After putting in the map lamp nail is removed and perfected the nail. This type is not suitable for those suffering from nail biting.

• Cover the natural nail:

It is generally carried out in case you just want to strengthen and make more beautiful normal nails.

Application Methods

Reconstruction in gel can be made by following 3 methods: monophasic, biphasic or triphasic. most used ones, and of which I will speak, they are as follows:

1) The single-phase method

Who uses this technique, use a gel which encloses the 3 gels which are used to make the reconstruction of the base gel and sealant manufacturer. No need to use a primer and with one product you create the nail structure and gives the final gloss. The advantage of this technique is that it is extremely fast compared to the three-phase, but according to the statements of some nail technicians would also be less durable. In my opinion the only fault I can have is to be polish, which is why, at the end of the work, you have to apply a product that removes haze nail. Many of monophasic products are self-leveling for which not even require filing under reconstruction. In the video above you you see a treatment with monophasic and method map.

2) The three-phase method

And ‘the most popular method at present and is to use 3 different gels: the base that is used to prepare the nail reconstruction, what manufacturer you need to model, extend and rebuild the nail and finally the sealant that ensures’ excellent nail finish. This technique is a bit more complex than the one proposed above, but is still very valid and with a bit of manual dexterity guarantees a perfect result. In the video above you can see a three-phase treatment method and map.

And for the feet?

On the feet using the same techniques, with the advantage that the reconstruction is much more durable (nails grow very slowly compared to the hands). Also on foot stages of reconstruction I am a little less complex.
