All members of The Desire family will receive Android 2.3 Gingerbread, from the original (which I have) up to the latest HTC Desire S. This will happen in the HTC finished adapting the Sense interface, which means that we would be talking about possibly spring, shortly after that the own Desire S is released.
Beneficiaries of this official update will be terminals Desire Desire Z and Desire HD, who already enjoy official Froyo with Sense, perhaps the only customization that is well appreciated by users. It is a measure that should be welcome, since they might well have this detail only with the newest S Desire and thus encourage to renovate the terminal. Or worse, do as Sony with the family Xperia X 10, which will not even offer Froyo.
The news part of the own HTC during the Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona. To date, Nexus S is the only terminal that already runs with Gingerbread officially. It is expected other manufacturers take good note This kind of considerations with users.
Updated: From HTC tell us that recently the Wildfire has been updated to Froyo, and that for the moment cannot we confirm if there will be update to Gingerbread for them. What either discards it, clear.
